What are PLAY ALONGS (TM)?
PLAY ALONGS are an exciting new fully orchestrated background music to the FREE kids piano music.
Each CD is only $5 (plus $2 shipping and handling per order). Each CD contains one song with a variety or recording tempos.

I have found that organizing the PLAY ALONGS, in this fashion allows you or your student to get the most out of your practice time, because you spend your time at the keyboard instead of playing with your CD player. Trust me, you'll save tons of time.
However, best of all is watching your students or your children play the songs and enjoy music. Not too mention all of the fundamental music skills that are being learned like playing with an even and consistent tempo and being able to concentrate on your part while seeing how it fits in the orchestrated background.
Family, especially mom, dad, grandpa and grandma as well as friends will be impressed.
You know though we love being individuals and individuality, we also love being part of something bigger. The PLAY ALONGS are designed with that thought in mind. You or your student are the lead musician with a virtual all-star background. It's fun, it's easy, it's just plain great!
How To Practice?
I had many teachers while I was learning to play. They all had a variety of practice styles and methodologies, most that didn't work. As I matured, a new teacher asked, "Does practice make perfect?" Innocently, I said, "Yes." She said no, "Perfect practice makes perfect." I cannot stress to you enough how important it is to practice correctly. So what is "perfect practice?"
- Use the same fingering every time.
Think about how hard it is to change how you walk or how you run. When you practice with different fingering, you are sending mixed signals to the brain. This confuses the brain to the point that you will never be able to play the song well. Use the same fingering every time and make sure it is the best one.
- Count out loud.
Write out the rhythms and count out loud. Why students refuse to do this I have no idea. I even struggle to get my own 10 year old daughter to count out loud. Counting out loud is not about the counting, but aligning the melody to the rhythm. It is the very foundation of musical memory. Please count out loud.
- Practice in sections.
Amateurs practice the entire song, pros practice in sections. It is similar to breaking down a big problem into smaller, more manageable ones. What can I say, refusing to practice in sections in madness. In fact this is why the whole PLAY ALONGS (TM) were developed. They are the funnest way I have ever seen to encourage someone to practice in sections.

Each song has a cover page. The cover page is fun to print and I find the younger students love coloring them; it adds that personal touch.

This song was written for my son Seth when he was just a little boy. At that time I was teaching dozens of young boys ages eight thru ten years old. This piece was one of their all time favorites and I know it will be one of yours. When you get the PLAY ALONGS (TM) they will provide a wonderful source of entertainment for years to come. It's like have a full orchestra to back you up.
